Love-U District Festival attracts thousands to Seattle's University District on October 1, 1968.

On October 1, 1968, 7,000 jam Seattle's University Way for a "Love-U District Festival" sponsored by the ASUW (Associated Students of the University of Washington) and University District Chamber of Commerce and organized by the New American Community.

Performing at the festival are the Youngbloods, Frumious Bandersnatch, Santana, Country Weather, Juggernaut, Mother Tucker's Yellow Duck, Congress of Wonders, Alice Stewart, Cliff Wagner & the Second Coming, Floating Bridge, Caliope, and "the lovely Diane and her dance of death."
