Address: 23015 SE 216th Way, Maple Valley. In 1920, the Maple Valley School District opened its new brick two-story school, which was prominently located on a knoll above Maple Valley's commercial center. The school with its fire resistant brick construction, spacious classrooms, central heating, auditorium, and ample windows to bring in daylight, was a source of great community pride. The school was built to accommodate students who had previously attended small community schools, as small rural districts consolidated into the Maple Valley District. Owned by the Tahoma School District, the school presently (2000) houses the Greater Maple Valley Historical Society.
